Perfect Sentiment respects your privacy. Our goal is to make it easy to send a physical greeting card with a personal video message, without requiring unnecessary accounts, profiles, or ongoing data collection.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.
1. What Perfect Sentiment Does
Perfect Sentiment allows a sender to link a personal video message to a physical greeting card. The sender scans the QR code inside a card, uploads a video, and finalizes it. The recipient later scans the QR code inside the card to view the video.
No account is required to upload or view a video.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to provide and protect the Perfect Sentiment experience.
Video uploads
When a sender uploads a video, we collect and store the uploaded video file so it can be played for the recipient.
Videos may include personal images, voices, names, faces, or other information included by the sender. Perfect Sentiment does not control what a sender chooses to include in a video.
QR code and card information
Each card has a unique QR code associated with that individual card’s video experience. We may store information connected to that QR code, such as:
- the card/code identifier;
- whether a video has been uploaded;
- whether the video has been finalized;
- when the video was uploaded or finalized;
- when the video is scheduled to expire;
- whether an optional viewing password has been enabled.
Optional viewing password
After finalizing a video, the sender may choose to add an optional viewing password. If a password is added, the recipient must enter it before viewing the video.
Perfect Sentiment does not recover forgotten passwords. Passwords are stored in our system in protected form, not as plain readable text.
Technical information
When someone visits the site, uploads a video, or views a video, we may collect basic technical information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- pages or links accessed;
- date and time of access;
- server logs and security-related events.
We may also log Store Finder searches, such as the location searched, search radius, date and time of the search, page URL, and basic browser information, to help us understand where customers are looking for Perfect Sentiment cards.
Contact forms and email communications
If you contact us through a form on the site or by email, we may collect your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use that information to respond to your inquiry and may retain it for record-keeping, customer-service, security, or business purposes.
We do not use contact-form email addresses to send unrelated marketing messages, and we do not sell them.
If you use our Store Finder, Retail Referral form, or related retailer-interest features, we may collect the information you provide, such as store names, store locations, store contact details, your name and email address if provided, and any comments or referral details you choose to submit. We use this information to evaluate potential retail locations, respond to referral-related inquiries, communicate with you about the referral when appropriate, and administer any referral or retailer-introduction program that may be active at the time.
This information helps operate the site, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide the video upload and viewing experience;
- connect a card’s QR code to the correct video;
- allow the sender to review and finalize the uploaded video;
- allow recipients to view the finalized video;
- enforce video availability and deletion rules;
- provide optional viewing-password protection;
- troubleshoot technical problems;
- protect the site from abuse, unauthorized access, spam, malware, or misuse;
- respond to questions, requests, or messages you send us;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not require user accounts for the normal Perfect Sentiment experience.
4. Video Privacy and Access
Perfect Sentiment is designed to make unintended viewing extremely unlikely. Videos are not publicly listed or searchable, and access is tied to the QR code inside the card.
Because no account is required, a video is not connected to a public user profile.
However, anyone who has access to the card or QR code may be able to access the video unless an optional viewing password has been added. For added privacy, senders may choose to require a viewing password before the video can be watched.
As with anything uploaded online, discretion is warranted. Do not upload anything truly private, highly sensitive, unlawful, or unsafe.
5. Video Availability and Deletion
Videos remain available for six months after the sender finalizes the video.
Each time the video is viewed, the viewing page may display how much time remains before the video is removed and may encourage the recipient to download the video before it expires.
Senders should keep their original video if they want to preserve it permanently. Perfect Sentiment is not intended to serve as permanent video storage.
After the availability period ends, the video may be deleted or made unavailable. We may retain limited technical records after deletion for security, troubleshooting, audit, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
6. Video Downloads
Perfect Sentiment may allow recipients to download a video before it expires. Once a recipient or other authorized viewer downloads a video, Perfect Sentiment cannot control what that person does with the downloaded file.
7. Service Providers
We may use trusted service providers to help operate Perfect Sentiment, including services for:
- website hosting;
- video storage, processing, and playback;
- security and performance;
- analytics or basic site diagnostics;
- email or customer communication.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
Video files are hosted using third-party video infrastructure rather than being stored directly in standard web server media storage.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Perfect Sentiment may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site functionality, security, performance, or analytics.
We do not use accounts as part of the standard upload or viewing experience, and we do not intend to use cookies to build public user profiles around video viewing.
9. Information Sharing
We do not sell personal video content.
We may share information only when reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Perfect Sentiment service;
- use service providers described above;
- comply with law, legal process, or government requests;
- protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Perfect Sentiment, users, recipients, or others;
- investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or technical problems;
- transfer the business or assets in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, licensing arrangement, reorganization, or similar transaction.
10. Children’s Privacy
Perfect Sentiment is not intended for use by children without appropriate adult involvement. Senders should not upload videos of children without appropriate permission from a parent or guardian.
If we become aware that we have collected information from a child in a way that requires parental consent or removal under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information handled through Perfect Sentiment.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Senders should use discretion when deciding what to upload, and they should use the optional viewing password when the video is especially personal.
12. Your Choices
Depending on the situation, you may be able to:
- choose not to upload a video;
- delete and replace a video before it is finalized, subject to system limits;
- finalize a video when it is ready;
- add an optional viewing password;
- download the video before it expires, if download functionality is available;
- contact us with privacy-related questions or concerns.
Because Perfect Sentiment does not require accounts, we may need the relevant card/code information to locate a specific video or record.
13. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable state privacy laws, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.
Perfect Sentiment is a small business and may not be subject to every state privacy law or every statutory consumer-rights framework. Even where a specific law does not apply, you may contact us to ask about personal information associated with your use of our website or services.
California residents may have specific rights under California privacy laws, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information, subject to legal exceptions. Perfect Sentiment does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy before beginning that activity.
Because Perfect Sentiment does not require user accounts, we may need information such as your email address, card code, fallback URL, or other details associated with your request in order to locate relevant records.
Perfect Sentiment does not sell personal information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through website forms, and users should not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, private financial information, or other confidential information through any contact form.
14. Do Not Upload Certain Content
Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, threatening, invasive of another person’s privacy, or otherwise inappropriate.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
Do not upload anything you would consider truly private or highly sensitive.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
